Originally from the West Country, Stephen is a Brighton-based professional illustrator who regularly produces artwork for books, magazines, websites and advertisements all over the world. His clients have included Macmillan Education, Oxford University Press, The Guardian, DeAgostini and Samsung.
His love of perspective drawing and character design results in a style that is full of energy and expression. Outside of his commercial work, Steve's pencil drawings, linework and silkscreens have been well received as part of the popular Show Below collective in the Brighton Festival and at Hove's Boxbird Gallery.
“My work always starts with pencil on paper and, in contrast to my commercial work, I go back to traditional methods of image making, breaking away from the usual subject matters.” – The artist.
