TOOVEY'S conduct quarterly specialist sales of medals, militaria and weapons. The auctions incorporate military medals, civil awards and all manner of related material, as paperwork and photographs are often of valuable assistance to collectors in researching the history of decorated soldiers and civilians. The sales also feature military uniforms, buttons, badges, accoutrements and instruments, such as watches and compasses. Weapons offered include antique muzzle-loading longarms, pistols, knives, daggers, bayonets and swords, from 18th century examples to First and Second World War souvenirs.
Pictured right: Mines issue Edward Medal, George V bronze issue, awarded to 'Samuel Graham' for a rescue at the North Celynen Colliery in Monmouthshire on 8th March 1926, with original fitted case.
