A collection of approximately 300 black and white photographs taken by Captain B. St. C. Tony Rutherford, group photographer of the 53rd Welsh Division, from late June in Normandy to Hamburg May 1945, many used to illustrate 'The History of the 53rd (Welsh) Division in the Second World War', including Courselles sur Mer, Crossroads South of Granville, Carrier Casualty Falaise Area, Pillbox on Wessem Canal, Blown Carrier, Snipers in the Docks, Bomb Damage in Hamburg, A Direct Hit, Royal Tiger Tank at Falaise and Snow in the Ardennes, many numbered and relating to typed index list, contained in three card photo boxes (faults), together with a paper-backed aerial photograph.
