Two medal groups to father and son, comprising, to the father, a South Africa Medal with six bars, 'Talana', 'Defence of Ladysmith', 'Orange Free State', 'Transvaal', 'Laing's Nek' and a later added bar 'South Africa 1901', to '14273 Cpl F.E.Davis, 13/Bty, R.F.A.' (official correction by /), a 1914 Star to '14273 B.S.Mjr F.E.Davis. R.F.A.', a 1914-18 British War Medal and a 1914-19 Victory Medal to '2.Lieut.F.E.Davis.' and a Army Long Service and Good Conduct Medal, George V first issue, to '14273.B.S.Mjr,F.E.Davis. R.F.A.', mounted on a bar, and, to the son, a 1914 Star with bar, a 1914-18 British War Medal and a 1914-19 Victory Medal to '24966 B.Q.M.Sjt. W.W.Davis. R.A.' (over-engraving of the naming details on the War Medal to second initial W Davis), a 1939-45 Defence Medal and an Imperial Service Medal, George VI issue, to 'Walter William Davis, mounted on a bar, together with a Royal Life Saving Society Award of Merit in silver, named to 'E. M. Davis 1941', with the original case.
