BRITISH & CONTINENTAL CERAMICS & GLASS

TOOVEY'S conduct monthly sales of British and Continental ceramics and glass covering a wide spectrum of porcelain, pottery and glassware from many different periods. Beswick, Clarice Cliff, Crown Derby, Doulton, Meissen, Moorcroft, Sitzendorf, Troika, Wedgwood and Worcester are just some of the factories regularly featured within these sales.

Pictured right: A Meissen porcelain figure, circa 1745, by Peter Reinicke and Johann Joachim Kandler modelled as Giangurgolo from the Duke of Weissenfels series, wearing yellow breeches and a lilac coat with a pointed green hat, standing on a floral encrusted base, indistinct marks to base, height approx 14cm. Sold for £9600, despite faults and restoration.
