An impressive Chinese Canton famille rose punchbowl, first half 19th Century, of large proportions, the exterior painted with four panelled figural scenes within borders of bats, precious objects and scattered flowers, the interior with a continuous scene of a procession of dignitaries and attendants in a pavilion and garden setting, all beneath a repeated border containing bats, butterflies, fruit and flowers, diameter approx 50cm, height approx 20.5cm (minor rubbing to gilt).
