DOYLE, James E. A Chronicle of England B.C.55-A.D.1485. London: Longman, Green, Longman, Roberts & Green, 1864. 4to (260 x 191mm.) Title in red and black, numerous illustrations printed in colours by Edmund Evans. (Occasional spotting.) Contemporary green morocco gilt, by Palmer & Howe, Manchester, the covers elaborately panelled in gilt, the spine in six compartments, lettered in the second, the others with repeat decoration in gilt, gilt turn-ins, g.e. (some scuffing).
