KEATE, George. An Account of the Pelew Islands, situated in the Western Part of the Pacific Ocean. London: printed for G. Nicol, 1788. First edition, 4to (298 x 230mm.) Engraved portrait frontispiece, 1 folding chart, 1 plan, 13 plates only (of 14) (1 folding). (First few and occasional other leaves creased, some offsetting, some spotting, mostly to plates.) Contemporary tree calf, the upper cover with central armorial (rebacked, extremities scuffed, endpapers replaced). Provenance: Sir John Ingilby Bar't of Ripley Yorkshire (binding).
