BRITISH MUSEUM - Catalogue of the Birds in the British Museum. London: 1875-1898-1895. Vols. II-XXVII only, 8vo (217 x 136mm.) 372 colour plates only (195 hand-coloured). (Occasional light spotting or browning.) Contemporary cloth (extremities chipped and bumped, some joints split, stitching weak and a few leaves now loosely inserted). - And an earlier index volume by George Robert Gray of related interest, bound to match. Provenance: ex public libraries (labels and ink stamps to first few leaves) (27).
