London: John Murray, 1858-1863. 10 vols. only (of 15), 8vo (222 x 135mm.) Folding map in pocket at rear of vol. I, extra-illustrated with a few items of related ephemera. (Occasional light spotting.) Original cloth (extremities bumped and frayed, a few joints split). Provenance: Captain Nightingale (presentation inscription from the editor to vol. I, mounted a.l.s. from the editor, his mother Elizabeth and a few other contemporary hands); Thomas Knowlys Parr (armorial bookplates to later volumes).
