BEAUMONT, Francis, & John FLETCHER. The Works… with an Introduction by George Darley. London: Edward Moxon, 1840. 2 vols., 8vo (231 x 145mm.) Portrait frontispieces, additional decorative titles. (Some light browning, heavier to frontispieces and decorative titles.) Contemporary maroon half-morocco, the spines in seven compartments with raised bands, lettered in the second, third and last compartments (minor scuffing to joints and extremities). Provenance: Thomas Shedden (armorial bookplates); P. Vernon (pencil inscriptions dated 1954 to bookplates).
