PEPYS, Samuel. Diary and Correspondence… new edition. London: 1865. 4 vols., 8vo (176 x 104mm.) Plates, some folding. (Minor browning.) Contemporary brown calf, the spines gilt in six compartments, morocco lettering pieces to the second and third compartments, the others with repeat decoration in gilt, t.e.g. (lightly rubbed). Provenance: Richard W. Pitt (School prize certificate dated 1866 to vol. I and bindings). - And five others, all leather-bound (9).
