Portrait frontispiece, numerous full-page illustrations. (Occasional minor soiling.) Original cloth blocked in black (slightly affected by damp, extremities bumped and chipped, lacking front-free endpaper). Note: signed by Shackleton to frontispiece ('Yours sincerely / E.H. Shackleton / May 1918').
