A Chinese Cizhou pottery jar, probably Yuan/early Ming Dynasty, of upright baluster form, painted in dark brown slip with a band of three lozenge shaped panels filled with two seated scholars and a bird within whorl borders, on a cream ground, height approx 19.5cm (cracked).
