LOT 2257
A 19th Century oak and metal bound silver trunk, the front bearing brass plaque inscribed 'I.K. Brunel Esq', also painted with 'I. Brunel' having been overpainted with 'S.W.A. Noble Esq', the lid interior bearing manufacturer's label 'Grayhurst & Harvey... 64 Strand...', width approx 80cm. Provenance: S.W.A. Noble refers to Saxton William Armstrong Noble, who married Celia Brunel James, the granddaughter of Isambard Kingdom Brunel.
