A Japanese shibayama inlaid ivory rectangular card case and cover, Meiji period, one side lacquered in gilt and inlaid in various hardstones and mother-of-pearl with a scene of two cranes beside flowers and bamboo, a butterfly and sparrow flying above, the reverse similarly filled with a bird, butterflies and flowers, length approx 8.5cm (minor split to corner of cover).
