A Japanese Satsuma earthenware koro and cover by Kyozan, Meiji period, of hemispherical form, the body painted and gilt with shaped panels of figures and flowers against a simulated brocade ground beneath a pair of upright handles, the pierced cover filled with flowers, on short tripod feet, gilt signature to base, diameter approx 11.5cm.
