                A Japanese Satsuma earthenware koro and cover, by Hotoda, Meiji period, of rectangular form with arched top, one side painted and gilt with a scene of arhats, the other with various shaped panels filled with samurai and bijin, repeated on the sides, within simulated brocade borders, flanked by a pair of openwork handles, on scroll feet, black and gilt signature to base, height approx 15.5cm.
