A pair of Japanese Satsuma earthenware vases, by Taizan Yohei, Meiji period, each shouldered ovoid body painted and gilt with opposing shaped panels, one side with immortals and children, the other with Samurai, within borders of butterflies, trellis and tendrils, the short flared neck with flower vignettes on a simulated brocade ground, impressed mark to bases, height approx 12.5cm.
