Frontispiece, numerous illustrations, 3 folding maps bound at rear. (Some spotting, browning and occasional soiling.) Original blue cloth blocked in silver and gilt, t.e.g. (spine slightly discoloured and bumped at head and foot). Note: this copy has been misprinted with pp. 258-259, 262-263, 266-267 and 271 duplicated on pp. 226-227, 230-231, 234-235 and 238-239, these 'missing' pages have been replaced with loosely inserted facsimiles.
