DICKSON, H.R.P. The Arab of the Desert. London: George Allen & Unwin Ltd., 1949. First edition, 8vo (232 x 154mm.) Portrait frontispiece, numerous illustrations (8 full-page and colour), 1 coloured plate, 10 maps on 7 folding sheets and 6 folding genealogies in pocket at rear. (Minor light browning, one folding map with small tears.) Original cloth (slightly discoloured, extremities somewhat bumped). - And one other first edition (Wilfred Thesiger, 'The Marsh Arabs', London: 1964, 8vo, original cloth, dust-jacket) (2).
