DICKENS, Charles. Master Humphrey's Clock. London: Chapman and Hall, 1840-1841. 3 vols. in two, 8vo (253 x 158mm.) 4 plates and numerous illustrations. (Occasional light browning.) Contemporary brown calf, spines gilt in six compartments, lettering pieces in the second and third compartments, the others with repeat decoration in gilt (slightly rubbed and scuffed). Provenance: Blanche Chilton (signatures to preliminary blanks).
