A Chinese carved and pierced jade panel, probably late 19th/early 20th Century, of pale celadon tone, in the form of flower basket, length approx 5.6cm, with silk pouch and accompanying paperwork. Provenance: this panel purportedly belonged to George Ernest Morrison (1862-1920), also known as 'Chinese Morrison', an Australian adventurer and Times Peking correspondent, who later became a political advisor to the Chinese government.
