							LOT 2001
                A Regency ormolu mounted and brass inlaid rosewood chiffonier, in the manner of John Maclean & Son, the rectangular top with a two tier mirror-backed superstructure with gilt brass three-quarter gallery and trellis-filled sides, the base fitted with a pair of drawers, inlaid with foliate scrolls and stamped 'J. Dooly & Sons', flanked on each side by a foliate mask mount, the two panelled doors inset with pleated blue silk and gilt brass trellis grills enclosing a single shelf, each side panel inlaid with foliate scrolls, on ring turned toupie feet, the reverse with applied paper label inscribed 'John Dooly & Sons Ltd... Dublin', height approx 144cm, width approx 91cm, depth approx 42cm.  Provenance: Lot 168 in Christie's Fine English Furniture sale, Thursday 4th June 1998, purchased by the current vendor.
