A pair of Japanese shibayama tusk vases on stands, Meiji period, each ivory tusk incised and inlaid with a bird perched on a blossoming branch with chrysanthemum below, opposing a blossoming stem, worked in various coloured mother-of-pearl, hardstones and tortoiseshell, inlaid signature plaques, each carved and pierced wood stand with floral apron on four scroll legs and pierced flat platform base, height approx 45cm (minor faults).
