Original cloth titled in gilt to the upper cover (somewhat discoloured, extremities bumped). Note: Rev Smith's work 'Guide to the British and Roman Antiquities of the North Wiltshire Downs' was first published by the Marlborough College Natural History Society in two volumes. After a fire damaged half the print run it was republished in a single volume the following year. This is probably the map volume from the first printing.
