                A Japanese Satsuma earthenware vase, Meiji period, the ovoid body with opposing lobed panels, one filled with ladies and children beneath an acer in a garden setting, the other with sparrows flying amongst wisteria and peony, all reserved against a blue ground filled with gilt overlaid leaves and tendrils, iron red and gilt signature to base, height approx 18cm (minor gilt rubbing).
