A fine scratch built model of a beam engine, the cylinder with brass bound mahogany cladding, spoked flywheel, solid pulley wheel and round tapered column supporting the beam, the steps and galleries with handrails and perforated walkways, finished in maroon and black with yellow and red lining, width approx 37cm, mounted on a simulated black and white tiled base (faults to base). Provenance: Lot 3141 in Toovey's Sale of Collectors' Toys on 24th March 2009, from the collection of the late Ron Wheele.
