LOT 2130
A late Victorian oak hall chair, the foliate cartouche back painted with the Royal coat of arms, the solid seat on hexagonal baluster legs, the underside of the seat rail with applied label marked 'Dining Chair given to my father by King Edward which came from the Isle of Wight', signed 'J. Aitken'. Note: this chair was reputedly given to Lord Beaverbrook, Max Aitken, by King Edward VII.
