LOT 850
A Viennese silver gilt and enamel mounted rock crystal sweetmeat dish, late 19th Century, the shell-shaped oval bowl finely carved in low relief with Neptune and Amphitrite aboard a horse-drawn shell-shaped sea chariot on a sea inhabited with further figures, mermaids, dolphins and mermen, the stem carved with animals including a turtle, crocodile and snake, the silver gilt gem set oval foot and collar with white and pale blue enamelled foliate decoration, hallmark to underside of foot, height approx 12.5cm.
