A Continental silver and enamel circular box and cover, the top finely painted with a scene of two classical maidens, two Cupid and five doves in a lakeside woodland setting, the engine turned sides beneath a pale blue enamel field, indistinct hallmarks, diameter approx 8cm. Provenance: The Elton John Collection, Sotheby's, Lot 1573.
