                A Japanese ivory okimono figure group of a fisherman and two birds, Meiji period, finely carved with a man wearing a knotted reed apron and carrying a basket of fish in his right hand, while a tethered cormorant perched on his left shoulder, the second cormorant perched on a basketweave sack resting at his feet, black detailing to the eyes, incised signature to base, height approx 33cm (lower cormorant neck repaired).
