A late Victorian mahogany cased patent travelling chess set, 'The In Statu Quo Chess Board', by Jaques & Son Ltd, the folding mahogany board containing a turned ivory and red stained ivory chess set, height of king 2cm, the edges with stamped makers' marks, contained within its original black leather case, width of board approx 32.5cm.
