Auguste Rodin - Tête de Balzac, an early 20th Century dark brown patinated cast bronze portrait bust of Honoré de Balzac, cast with signature 'A. Rodin' and foundry marks 'Alexis Rudier, Fondeur', height approx 17cm, raised on an ebonized pedestal. Provenance: this bust has been owned by the current owner's family since 1936, when it is believed to have been purchased in Paris.
