A Chinese Canton export ivory box and cover, mid-19th Century, of shaped rectangular outline, the hinge lid finely carved in relief with a scene of figures, pleasure boat, pagoda, pavilions and trees, within a border of birds, flowers and fruit, the four sides all similarly carved with village scenes, on a shaped base, length approx 26cm (some splits and repairs).
