Two lengths and matching cross sections of the Atlantic Telegraph Cable, presented within a burr walnut case, the interior bearing label engraved 'Atlantic Telegraph Cable, Length 2,300 Nautical Miles. No. 1 Main Cable, No. 2 Shore End, Telegraph Construction & Maintenance Co. Limited Contractors', the case with a hinged and glazed lid above a cushion moulded body and a carved leaf border, on bracket feet, total length of case approx 38cm.
