                An early 19th Century Continental silk embroidered and applied chenille wool panel depicting a lady wearing contemporary costume, seated in a garden, spinning yarn beside sheep and her dog, flanked by flower-charged vases and trees, worked with coloured silks and wools in long and short stitches, approx 31cm x 43cm, within a gilt frame.  Provenance: Toovey's Sale of The Bolney Lodge Collection, The Estate of the Late Judge Coles Q.C., 20th September 2006, Lot 376.
