An early 20th Century Walker & Hall 'The Lord Derby War Hospital' plated six-division toast rack, with central loop handle on bun feet, maker's mark and hospital stamp to base, length approx 17.5cm. Note: The Lord Derby War Hospital was situated on the Winwick Rectory Estate near Warrington. It was built as an asylum in 1896 and used as a military hospital during both world wars.
