A large ammolite ammonite from the Bearpaw Formation in South-west Alberta, Canada, approx 42cm x 34cm. Note: ammolite is the iridescent material covering the ammonite and became recognized as a gemstone by CIBJO in 1981. It is only found in the Bearpaw Formation on the east side of the Rocky Mountains in Alberta, Canada.
