LOT 3016
PRIDDEN, John (1758-1825, compiler, author and artist). Autograph manuscript. 'A Pedestrian Tour to The North of England in the Summer of 1779…' [N.p.:] 1779 [but assembled later]. Large 4to (265 x 210mm.) Mounted on leaves numbered from 1 to 645 (with some leaves blank), manuscript text, 101 original drawings, 22 engraved maps and 55 topographical prints (some folding). Early 19th Century half-roan over marbled paper-covered boards (scuffed, inner hinges split). Note: this volume was originally part of a larger set 'Pridden's Topographical Collections' (for an example see one volume on Oxfordshire now in the Bodleian Library).
