A Japanese Satsuma earthenware ewer and stopper by Gyokusan, Meiji period, of diminutive gourd form, painted and mostly gilt with sparrows flying about bamboo, gilt signature to base and further gilt script to either side of handle, height approx 10.5cm (minor retouching to gilt on handle).
