A Japanese Satsuma earthenware vase by Kusube, Meiji period, the tapering body painted with opposing figural panels, the first with three samurai at rest, the other with two female farm workers, reserved against a dark blue ground with gilt overlaid detail, gilt signature to base, height approx 15.2cm.
