Lewes: 1824. 2 vols., first edition, 4to (275 x 205mm). 6pp. list of subscribers, 42 plates, plans and maps (including 1 folding lithographic plate, 1 folding engraved map, 29 lithographic plates, plans and maps, 10 engraved plates, 1 wood-engraved plate), extra-illustrated with related newspaper cuttings and other extracts. (Volume II with text browned throughout, the leaves on either side of the inserted cuttings also browned, the plate facing p.123 in vol. II shaved into the image area.) Modern half-calf, spines gilt with early lettering-pieces. Provenance: B. Winstone (inscription); Sidney Spokes (Castle Place, Lewes, inscription, bookplates); The Library Collection of the Late W. Leslie Weller MBE, DL, FSA.
