A Chinese red lacquer and hardwood four fold screen, mark of Xuande but 19th Century, each red lacquer rectangular panel decorated in low relief with four variously shaped vignettes filled with figural scenes, reserved against a ground of chrysanthemum roundels and trellis containing a six character mark of Xuande, within a border of scrolling foliage, each panel approx 125cm x 32cm, the later hardwood frame pierced and carved with peony and leaves (some faults).
