PIPER, John. Brighton Aquatints… with… an introduction by Lord Alfred Douglas. London: Duckworth, 1939. Printed at the Curwen Press in an edition of 200, oblong folio (253 x 390mm.) 12 monochrome aquatints with accompanying text on blue paper. (Slight browning.) Original cloth-backed boards (faded, extremities bumped, upper cover with damp-stains). Provenance: signed by John Piper to front-free endpaper 'Yours sincerely / John Piper'; later inscribed to front pastedown 'signed by John Piper / from the library of Osbert Lancaster'. Levinson 12-23.
