GILL, Evan R. A set of Cambridge University 'First proofs' of 'Eric Gill A Bibliography by Evan R. Gill with a foreword by Walter Shewring' [dated variously from 25 July 1952 to 20 August 1952]. 8vo (255 x 170mm.) 112 leaves (in 14 gatherings of eight). Extensive revisions and corrections in at least two hands (including the author), with a 2pp. manuscript foreword (headed 'Preface' [!]) by Shewring, and two versions of the prospectus. (As part of the proofing process some images have been excised from the text.) Unbound within a 'mock-up' of the blue cloth binding.
