DICKENS, Charles. The Posthumous Papers of the Pickwick Club. London: 1837. First edition in book form, 8vo (200 x 125mm.) Steel-engraved frontispiece, additional title and 41 plates, after 'Phiz' and others. (Plates browned and spotted, tape repair to outer blank margin of pp.77-78.) Later green half-calf, spine gilt (spine faded). Provenance: Commander C.F. Hill (armorial bookplate). - And eight others by or relating to Dickens (9).
