                MORRIS, William. Gothic Architecture: A Lecture for the Arts and Crafts Exhibition Society. London: Kelmscott Press, 1893. First edition, limited to 1500 copies (this one of the first 500 with typographical errors), 16mo (140 x 102mm.) Text printed in red and black, decorative initials. Original cloth-backed boards (very slight discolouration, corners slightly bumped). Provenance: Leslie M. Cockerell (presentation inscription from Sydney Cockerell 'Leslie M. Cockerell / from S.C.C. Oct 24th 1893'). Note: An important presentation copy: Sydney Cockerell, who went on to be director of the Fitzwilliam Museum, was William Morris' private secretary at the time of the book's publication.
