MINIATURE BOOK. - Company of STATIONERS (publishers). The London Almanack for the Year… 1834. London: Company of Stationers, [n.d but 1833]. 24mo (56 x 30mm.) Engraved throughout, view of 'the New Grammar School, Christ's Hospital, spread over 4 pages (as issued). Contemporary red morocco, the cover elaborately tooled in gilt with an overall 'arabesque' design of stylised scrolling foliage within fillet and roll-tool borders, g.e., contained within original red morocco slipcase with matching tooling. Provenance: W. Allason, bookseller, of 31 New Bond Street (retailer's label on front-free endpaper); early manuscript notes in an unidentified hand. Note: a fine example.
