BINDINGS. - Pierre de NOLHAC. Marie Antointette, The Dauphine. From the French of… de Nolhac. Paris & London: Goupil & Co. [and others, colophon: 1897]. Small folio (318 x 242mm.) Title and a few other pages printed in red and black. Colour-printed frontispiece, numerous plates. (Some spotting.) Original red morocco, covers panelled in gilt, lettered on upper cover, spine gilt, gilt turn-ins, t.e.g. (spine slightly darkened). Provenance: Edward Hunter (armorial bookplate); George H. Thompson (inscription dated '98) - And nineteen others, all leather-bound, 19th or 20th Century (20).
